PRET A MANGER ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF ITS CHRISTMAS MENU WITH NEW HOT DRINKS AND A VERY FESTIVE TOASTIE

9th November 2021: Pret A Manger has today announced the return of this year’s coveted Christmas menu, with new and exciting additions including the Turkey & Trimmings Toastie, a Vegan Christmas Flatbread and the Love Bar Latte – inspired by Pret’s Love Bar sweet treat. The menu also sees the return of the nation’s much-loved festive favourites including Pret’s Christmas Lunch, Vegan Christmas Nut Roast and Melvin, Pret's Melting Gingerbread Snowman.

Introducing the brand-new, ultra-comforting Turkey & Trimmings Toastie, which perfectly combines the best of Christmas lunch in one perfectly toasted sandwich. The new addition is made up of Wiltshire ham, British turkey, herby pork stuffing, a dollop of caramelised onion chutney all toasted to oozy melted cheddar cheese perfection.

Other hot menu items helping to keep customers warm (and full) this Christmas include another festive newbie, the Christmas Stuffing Mac & Cheese; a delicious pasta with a herb and pork stuffing mixture, combined with creamy mature cheddar, béchamel sauce and parsley topped with a sprinkling of breadcrumbs and Italian cheese. Making its return is the Pigs in Blankets Hot Roll, a Christmas favourite featuring Lincolnshire style sausages wrapped in streaky bacon, on a layer of caramelised onion chutney and finished with a dab of mustard mayo in a warm crusty roll.

It doesn’t stop there - Pret is of course bringing back the classics including their much loved Christmas Lunch sandwich, which broke the internet with its unexpected July return, and Christmas Baguette both of which include thick slices of British turkey with port & orange cranberry sauce, herby pork stuffing, baby spinach leaves and are finished with a dab of mayo and Pret’s famous crispy onions. Along with these two, customer favourites the Brie, Pistachio & Cranberry Baguette is also returning.

Vegans and veggies can rejoice with the return of the Vegan Christmas Nut Roast made famous with crispy onions. Alongside this vegan favourite, at selected Pret stores and all Veggie Prets, Pret have also unveiled an easy to eat and lighter vegan flatbread sandwich. The NEW Vegan Christmas Flatbread includes a layer of vegan sage mayo, port & orange cranberry sauce, Christmas Pesto, roasted herby butternut squash along with sweet potato falafel and pickled cabbage & carrot in a wholemeal flat, giving vegans more tasty Christmas options this year. Exclusive to Veggie Pret will be the new Vegan Festive Pasta Bake, a vegan twist on the new Christmas Stuffing Mac & Cheese made with Christmas Pesto, tubetti rigati pasta mixed with vegan béchamel sauce and herby roasted butternut squash.

Meanwhile, you can say ho-ho-hello to the ultimate Christmas drink flavours as three drinks join the menu. Inspired by Pret’s sweet treats the hot drinks include the NEW Love Bar Latte and Popcorn Bar Hot Chocolate join the returning Christmas drink favourite Gingerbread Latte, to accompany the Melvin biscuit in his seasonal return to shops. Each inspired by Pret sweet treats, the Love Bar Latte combines a Chocolate Caramel Cookie Syrup with a shot of espresso, steamed milk and topped with a whipped cream and caramel sauce while the classic Gingerbread Latte combines Gingerbread syrup, an espresso shot, steamed milk and is topped with whipped cream and a sprinkling of Cinnamon. The new Popcorn Bar Hot Chocolate is a custom drink made by combining comforting popcorn syrup with hot chocolate, steamed milk and topped with whipped cream and chocolate powder. All drinks will be included in the Pret Coffee Subscription which allows customers to redeem up to five Barista-prepared drinks a day for £20 a month.

For the first time ever, Pret Cold Brew drinkers can now enjoy their coffees on-the-go can with three brand-new, ready-to-drink Cold Brews featuring Pret’s 100% organic and Arabica beans. The three new Cold Brew flavours hitting shelves are: Cold Brew Coffee Latte, Cold Brew Coffee Mocha, Cold Brew Coffee Black.

For those looking for festive sweet treats alongside enjoying their favourite Pret drinks can enjoy the returning Christmas Tiffin and Melvin, Pret's Melting Gingerbread Snowman, alongside Pret’s Mince Pie which is made to a new recipe this year making it suitable for vegetarians. Not only will Pret be re-introducing its classic Christmas sweets but joining the bakery line-up is the brand new Nutty Salted Caramel Brownie a rich Belgian chocolate brownie filled with dollops of salted caramel sauce and topped with chopped walnuts and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce.

50p from the sale of each Christmas Lunch sandwich and Vegan Nut Roast sandwich will be donated to The Pret Foundation. Committed to helping break the cycle of homelessness, hunger and poverty, The Pret Foundation works with grassroots charities in communities local to Pret shops to donate unsold, freshly made Pret food to those most in need, using The Pret Foundation's very own fleet of charity vans. It also oversees The Rising Stars programme, helping to provide housing and employment opportunities. For more than 25 years, The Pret Foundation has donated 35 million food items to 126 charities up and down the UK, as well as worldwide.

The delicious festive range will be available in Pret and Veggie Pret shops nationwide from 9th November until the end of December, while supply lasts. For the first three weeks Pret’s Christmas Lunch sandwich will be available exclusively in shops and on Deliveroo while all the rest of the Pret and Veggie Pret items can be enjoyed in shops or ordered via any delivery partner including Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.
