Team Member

At Pret, Team Members work as part of a team in the kitchen or front of house of a Pret shop. They are responsible for creating a welcoming safe environment, engaging and “wowing” our customers and producing great quality food.

Our baristas are coffee experts. We know because they spend three months in our academy getting trained. They make fantastic drinks and ensure we deliver amazing coffee standards every day. You’ve got to be skilled and lively, and there are plenty of opportunities to progress.

Pret is always growing, one shop at a time (we think good things shouldn’t be rushed) so we’re always on the lookout for great Team Leaders. We need Kitchen Leaders to help our kitchens produce beautiful and delicious food throughout the day, and Front of House Leaders who can ensure our lovely customers have the best experience in our shops.

Managers are responsible for our Pret shops. They work to develop fantastic teams, help drive the business, embed change, and they are the gatekeepers of Pret knowledge and standards. There’s a generous quarterly bonus incentive, too!

What information do we collect?

We collect information about you to apply for work with us. This includes:

  • Information you provide in your resume and covering letter (e.g. name, telephone number, address, education and employment history)

  • Supporting documents

  • Information you provide to us during any interview stages (e.g. current level of pay, hours of work)

In limited situations, you may also be asked to provide:

  • Biometric information, such as a passport or driving license

How may we use your personal data?

We will use your personal data to process your application. We may ask third parties, such as former employers for references if you are successful during an interview.

How long will you use your personal data for?

If your application for employment is unsuccessful, we will hold your data on file for 6 months after the end of the relevant recruitment process. If you provide consent to allow us to keep your personal data on file, we will hold your data for a further 6 months for consideration for future employment opportunities that may become available after the time that you originally made your application. At the end of the relevant period, or if you withdraw your consent (if applicable), your data will be deleted or destroyed.

If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to further internal systems and retained during your employment.
