Since opening our first shop in London in 1986, Pret's mission has been simple. To serve freshly made food and good organic coffee, while also trying to do the right thing. That's why our food is made in our shop kitchens throughout the day and our unsold food is donated to food rescue partners at the end of every day. . That's also why our coffee is 100% organic (and always will be) and our Coffee Fund is supporting the next generation of farmers. It's (partly) what we think makes Pret special. Our ingredients are delivered early each morning and we don't keep anything overnight. It means we can make our sandwiches, salads, (baguettes, wraps, hot breakfasts...) in our shop kitchens throughout the day and sell them when they're fresh (and most delicious). We donate our unsold food to help feed those in need to food rescue organizations through The Pret Foundation at the end of every day.
Our coffee is 100% organic and always arabica. Our teas, milks and milk alternatives are organic too. We have long-standing relationships with our farmers and take time to train up each and every one of our brilliant Baristas. It's just much better this way.

The Pret Foundation
Set up by our founders in 1995, The Pret Foundation is a global charity with a clear purpose. To alleviate poverty, hunger and help break the cycle of homelessness by donating our unsold food in partnership with local food rescue organizations.
At Pret we work hard, have fun and enjoy some brilliant perks along the way. You can't hire someone who can make sandwiches and teach them to be passionate. So we hire passionate people and teach them to make sandwiches.
