NEW YORK — Apr. 8, 2026 — Pret A Manger, the acclaimed organic coffee and freshly made food chain, has opened two new shops at John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport Terminal 8, with a third location outside security slated to open this summer. These openings come as Pret recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in the United States, marking a quarter-century of serving New Yorkers and beyond.

“New York has always been Pret’s second home, and John F. Kennedy International Airport is the perfect symbol of our global spirit,” said Felipe Athayde, President, North America, Pret A Manger. “As we celebrate over 25 years in the U.S., we’re proud to deepen our roots with new shops that bring Pret’s quality, crave-ability and convenience to people on the move.”

The new Pret shops are part of a $125 million commercial redevelopment of the terminal in partnership with terminal commercial operator ASUR Airports and American Airlines. The commercial redevelopment follows a $400 million expansion and modernization of the terminal, completed in 2022 and led by American Airlines, as part of the Port Authority’s $19 billion transformation of JFK.

“Pret A Manger enhances our terminal transformation by delivering fresh food, great coffee, and true convenience for travelers on the move,” said Ian Carter, ASUR Airports VP, JFK. “With three locations throughout the terminal, we’re ensuring more passengers can easily enjoy high-quality, on-the-go options that simplify and add enjoyment to the travel experience.”

As one of the busiest international gateways in the United States, welcoming more than 73 million passengers in the past year, JFK is a pivotal stage for Pret’s U.S. expansion. With two new locations in Terminal 8, Concourses B and C, and a third landside shop outside security, Pret’s variety of food and beverage offerings will be within easy reach for travelers across the terminal.

Each shop will serve Pret’s Barista-prepared drinks and handmade food, including favorites such as Pret’s Famous Ham & Cheese Baguette, Spicy Chicken Caesar Wrap, and signature pastries and cookies. Whether travelers are arriving, departing or picking up loved ones, Pret’s arrival at JFK offers a dependable and delicious choice at every touchpoint.

This expansion builds on Pret’s momentum in the United States, as the brand continues to grow in key markets and transportation hubs through new shops and digital-first offerings such as the Pret app and Pret Pick Up. Reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and community care, and in partnership with JFK Terminal 8, Pret will donate as much unsold food as possible to City Harvest, New York City's largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the more than 1.2 million New Yorkers annually.
